Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Fox Corporation and General Counsel of FOX Sports
Elizabeth Casey serves as Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Fox Corporation and as General Counsel of FOX Sports. In addition to being the most senior lawyer for FOX Sports, she also has responsibility for the legal teams supporting Tubi Media Group, Standards and Practices, Commercial Clearance, FOX Sports Music, and Ad Sales.
In 2022, Casey had oversight of the legal team and legal strategy for the launch of the United States Football League (USFL) and in 2024, her team was instrumental in negotiating the league’s merger with XFL to form the premier United Football League (UFL). Casey also led a team that revamped the music licensing system resulting in more accurate reporting. She also participated on a task force to create more consistency in the parental ratings systems among television networks and streaming systems.
Casey joined FOX in 1999 as Vice President of Litigation. She has served in various legal capacities during the course of her career at FOX.
Prior to joining FOX, Casey was a partner in the law firm of Hill Wynne Troop & Meisinger, where she represented major financial institutions and entertainment studios in complex civil litigation. She earned her law degree from the George Washington University Law School, where she graduated Order of the Coif and with high honors. She received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and political science from Claremont McKenna College, graduating cum laude.
Casey serves as a Trustee for Mount Saint Mary’s University, the only women’s university in Los Angeles, and one of the most diverse in the nation. She also recently joined the Board of Trustees of Gettysburg College, a liberal arts institution dedicated to developing its students to be strong, socially responsible leaders. Casey also provides pro bono legal services to those living in poverty through the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, and other organizations.
